Owing to her long and outstanding collaboration with USTC Bond-Selective Chemistry Lab, Prof. Oleg. N. Ulenikov was given the Friendship Prize issued by the Ministry of State Affairs. Prof. Oleg. N. Ulenikov attended the awards ceremony held in Beijing in October 2001 and was interviewed by Prime Minister Zhu Rongji.
Established by the Chinese government in 1991, the Friendship Prize is the highest honor recognizing the outstanding contributions made by foreign experts to the construction and opening-up of our country. Some 615 experts from more than 50 countries have so far been given the prize. Recommended by USTC, four experts from Japan and Swiss have been given the special honor in prior years | |
