USTC vice-president Cheng Yi and vice-general secretary Wang Keqiang were invited to visit Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center from March 24th to 26th and watched the launch of "Shenzhou III" spacecraft on the evening of 25th.
In Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, vice-president Cheng visited 3 alumni of USTC, who were working at the front of launch work. He asked about the situation of their working and living and encouraged them to contribute to the space enterprise of China. The 3 alumni expressed thanks for the vice-president's visit and efforts to be the qualified space servicemen.
USTC is one of the major basements for cultivating the high-caliber space servicemen.Vice-president Cheng also visited the launch square and the control center during his stay in Jiuquan. | |
