On 17th, March, Dutch Tewnte University delegation consisting of staffs and university students, totally 30 persons, visit USTC. The college students from USTC Chemistry and Materials School receive foreign guests.
TwenteUniversityis one of three Dutch engineering technology universities, possessing international prestige in many domains, such as electron, machinery and chemical industry. Its subordinate's MESA research institute is the important development facility in international nanometer science and technology. In 2002, President Lu Yongxiang of Chinese Academy of Sciences visited this university for inspection. In order to adapting to emerging of China's economy, and science and technology development, Twente University has organized college students who major in chemistry technology and applied physics to come to China for three-week investigation and study in companies, universities and institutes. Besides this visit, the delegation has carried on half a year background research and preparatory work.
During the visit, Dutch faculties and college students listen to the introduction from Professor Chen Chusheng about USTC Chemistry and Materials Science School. USTC students also carry on the discussion with Dutch students, and both sides spoke positively, inquire intensively and communicate enthusiastically. The characteristics, talented person quality, scientific research achievements as well as next development blueprint of USTC have made profound impression to the visitors. |
