Prof. NIU Manjiang Visits USTC
Prof. NIU Manjiang, a world famous biologist, is to visit USTC at the invitation of President ZHU Qingshi, academician of CAS and TWAS.

Prof. NIU graduated from the Department of Biology of Beijing University in 1936. He received his Ph. D. degree at Stanford University in 1946. In the year of 1962, he was conferred the lift-long title of honorary professor from Temple University. His published paper on the derivational function of RNA and his innovative Theory on Ectogene received much attention and high evaluation in the field of biology worldwide and consequently brought him much honor.

On the afternoon of June 11 (at four o'clock), Prof. NIU Manjiang will deliver an academic lecture titled "Research and Application on Ectogene" for USTC faculties and students.
