USTC Obtains New Achievements on Synthesizing Zinc Materials and Hydrogen Storage with Electrochemistry
2006-04-11
It is the key research direction to nanometer materials that function monitor and controllably prepare the nanometer structure. Under the supports of innovational research team scientific funds, Prof. Xie Yi, from nanometer materials and chemistry research division, lead her research team to obtain the achievements on nanometer zone prepared by gas sedimentation and nanometer net grid structures. Recently, they get advancement on controllably composing nanometer structure, as well as the relations between structure and its functions.

This research team develops a new method, optical-and-thermochemistry composition aided by visible light, which successfully composes variable special zinc materials, including micro tubular ones, submicron clavate ones, and so forth. The research demonstrates that forms and structures of zinc materials play an important role in hydrogen storage with electrochemistry. The research paper has been published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed on 10th April, a famous international chemical editorial.
