During his stay in Hong Kong for the Annual Meeting of the Association of East Asian Research Universities ( AEARU ), USTC president Zhu Qingshi attended the celebration for the 10th Anniversary of HKUST at the invitation of HKUST president Zhu Jingwu. President Zhu Qingshi expressed his hearty congratulations and sent president Zhu Jingwu a congratulatory gift from USTC.
On the afternoon of October 5th, president Zhu Qingshi presided over a symposium attended by other university presidents at the invitation of president Zhu Jingwu.
President Zhu Qingshi, then invited by president Zhang Xingang, paid a visit to HKCU to discuss further inter-university cooperation and exchange between HKCU and USTC, where an agreement on such cooperative work was renewed. Accompanied by president Zhang Xingang and HKCU vice-president Huang Yushan, president Zhu Qingshi visited the Multimedia Centre and the Centre for Chinese Culture in HKCU and exchanged views on the implementation of quality education. | |
