The Commemorative Exhibition, in honor of USTC History and VIPs, was unveiled at the Academic Exchange Hall on September 30th, 2001 celebrating the 43rd Anniversary of the founding of USTC. USTC party secretary Tang Honggao and USTC president Zhu Qingshi cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by USTC vice party secretary and vice president Jin Dasheng. At the opening ceremony, president Zhu Qingshi made an impromptu speech on the real the meaning in exalting USTC merits, implementing quality education and enhancing USTC's image.
Altogether, more than 300 pictures about USTC's ten most famous scientists in its initial USTC construction stage, namely, Guo Moruo, Yan Jici, Hua Luogeng, Zhao Zhongyao, Qian Xuesen, Guo Yonghuai, Zhao Jiuzhang, Bei Shizhang, Wu Wunjun, and Qian Linzhao were on display at the commemorative exhibition. | |
